The Mindset Of A Losing Gambler

mindset of a professional gambler

Profitable betting boils down to two things.

1.Taking value (betting on value selections)
2. Following a sound bankroll management strategy.

And having the right mindset towards your betting can play a key part in improving both of those things.

I wrote an article a while back called “The Mindset Of A Professional Gambler”.

If you’re interested you can read here:

So as a counterpoint to that, here’s a quick look at the mindset of losing gambler.

1. They just bet for “fun”. (I don’t know about you, but I don’t find losing money particularly fun.)

2. They chase their losses. (This is a very poor staking plan, if you can even call it a plan and terrible bankroll management)

And finally…

3. They don’t truly believe that it’s even possible to make a long term profit from there betting, so they never do.

So many losing gamblers will spend countless hours looking for ways to make money from their betting, but deep down, they don’t even believe it is possible.

You would think that these gamblers would then quit betting.

After all it would be the logical thing to do if you truly believed that you couldn’t make money from betting, but for whatever reason they will continue on regardless.

I know it sounds like cheesy motivational nonsense to say that “you can make money from your betting, if only you believe”.

Obviously this is not the case. Having a little bit of belief is just part of the puzzle.

No amount of believe in the world will help you if you are not betting on value selections and following a good bankroll management strategy.

But not believing that it is possible to make money from betting is a self fulfilling prophecy.

Change your mindset and your betting will also change.

As I said at the start of this email, profitable betting boils down to two things.

1. Taking value
2. Following a sound bankroll management strategy.

Professional tipsters can help you with the first part. Here’s the ones I recommend:

I can help you with the second part:

And if you can bring the right mindset into the mix, you’ll have a recipe for long term profits.
