There seems to be a growing number of tipster websites popping up, based on the premise that you only pay for winning tips.
Sounds great, right?
Well it’s not.
Here’s the usual story that these dodgy tipsters spin.
They claim that they’ve been winning too much from the bookies with their tips so the bookies won’t take their bets any more.
So they are willing to provide their tips to anyone who will put on a bet for them.
The idea being that you stake your own money on the tip and also put on some of your own money for the tipster. (usually something like a tenner)
If the bet wins, you win the money from your total stake and pay the tipster “his winnings” on the tenner you were required to place for him.
The only problem with this is that the tipster does not pay you when the bets lose.
So it’s a win – win situation for the tipster and a lose -lose situation for you.
Keep an eye out and steer clear of anyone trying to convince you that this sort of proposition is a good deal.
