Trial
So far this all sounds great, but how did Racing Gold hold up when trialled for 2 months.
I initially started this trial on the 13th of May but after a couple of days I realized there was not a huge amount of liquidity available on the Betfair Exchange at the advised odds when I was placing my bets.
Quickly realizing that this service wasn’t going to be very practical for anyone to follow (including myself), I decided to restart my trial on the 15th of May and place my bets at BSP instead.
You can see a comparison of my actual results versus the results I would have achieved had I bet at the advised odds below my results.
Racing Gold advises bets to either 1 or 2pt stakes, however, I review all tipsters to level stakes in order to provide a direct comparison between them.
For this reason all results below are recorded to 1pt level stakes, although, you can find a comparison of how this service would have preformed to advised stakes below my results.
Finally it should be noted that all results below are recorded to BSP and the standard 5% Betfair commission has been deducted from any winning bets.
So with out further ado, here are my results.

Racing Gold – Stats
If you want to have a closer look at these results you can download my results spreadsheet here.
My trial of Racing Gold concluded with a total profit of 56.31pts and a strike rate of 43.88%.
Surprisingly there was not a huge difference between the BSP and the advised odds with the average BSP odds being marginally greater than the advised odds.
Thankfully this makes Racing Gold a far more user friendly service as it means you can place the bets anytime between receiving the tips email (usually around 9am) and before the racing starts.
Also the ROI difference between advised stakes and level stakes is practically non existent with only a couple percent difference. (this is negligible due to variance)
You can find the full results for Racing Gold dating back to February 2013 on the Tipster Street website. (It should be noted that a 5% commission has NOT been deducted from the results on their website)

Final Thoughts on Racing Gold
Racing Gold has preformed very well over my trial period and a quick look at the services past results shows me that this wasn’t a one off.
The relatively high strike rate of 43.88% makes the service fairly easy to live with as this generally means you won’t have too many long losing runs.
The surprising discovery that this service can be backed at BSP with little to no difference in results also makes this service very convenient and easy to fit into your life.
The service produces a larger profit when betting to advised stakes due to staking more money but there isn’t really any difference in ROI terms when you compare the two and I prefer the simplicity of 1pt level staking.
All in all, I have been very impressed by Racing Gold and will continue to back this service to 1pt level stakes at BSP now that my trial is over.
